JONAS KARLSSON - ORGANIST
ORGANIST - PIANIST - IMPROVISATÖR - KOMPOSITÖR
Jonas Karlsson - Organist
I was born in 1970, in North of Sweden. I started to play the organ when I was a young boy, and I proved to be a very talented improviser.
When I was a teenager I started to compose music for piano and organ. I loved Bach and Liszt. I loved Beethoven and Chopin. I loved them all. Sometimes I used to walk from boring school classes, just to practise the piano.
I studied piano and organ at different schools and for private teachers. When I could find no more teachers in Sweden, I went to a music conservatory in Norway to study organ music. I got my degree in 2002. I loved to play Bach. But most of all I am an improviser.
In 2004 Swedish television filmed my organ playing and my skills as an improviser. I made a long tour at that time.
I love to make a real show at the the organ. I know how make an audience happy.
Please watch my promotion videos, and let my music talk.
This promotion video is made in Swedish, and shows some virtuoso style music. It includes an improvised fugue, my own Tango Briljante and BWV 548.
THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER
This promotion video is made for my music friends in the USA. It includes "My Way" and a fugue over "Happy Birthday". I also play a triple fugue from Bachs Art of the Fugue.
This video is recorded live. I improvise a fugue over "Twinkle, Twinkle" and I improvise over the song "All of Me". At the end I play Pachelbels Fugue in D minor.
